The Open Championship | St Andrews, Scotland | July 11-17
The British Open will celebrate its landmark 150th Championship from the “Home of Golf”, the Old Course at St Andrews Links in Scotland from July 11th through the 17th, 2022. The World’s Oldest International Men’s Major Golf Championship will return to what is considered the oldest golf course dating back to the early 15th century. The Open features the top golf pros competing for the historic Claret Jug trophy and a $1.5 million prize.
Collin Morikawa will return to defend his 2021 Open win, currently at (18-1) odds to repeat last year’s surprise victory, with Las Vegas odds makers currently having Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy as the (9-1)听favorite to win the Open in 2022, despite the fact that he hasn’t won a major since his British Open win in 2014. World No. 1 Golfer,听Scottie Scheffler is currently at (12-1) odds to win the Open this year, while 2022 PGA Championship winner听Justin Thomas is at (14-1) to win the Open in 2022. Trailing far behind at (40-1) odds to win听the Open in 2022, but sparking a lot of interest with his promised return to the Open is听Tiger Woods, after his impressive return to golf at the Masters earlier in the year.
